Philip L. Russell is editor of the Mexico Energy News and a Mexico contributor to the Paris-based Renewable Energy Policy Network. Russell has accepted repeated speaking invitations from three Ivy League schools and Stanford, and he has been certified as an expert witness in federal court. He has written seven books on Latin America, most recently The Essential History of Mexico (Routledge). In addition, his writings on Mexico have appeared in publications ranging from Mexico City’s La Jornada to The New York Times.
